In Adygeya capital court hearing on tariffs of housing and communal services passed

Within the litigation on validity of tariffs for housing and communal services of Maykop today the first hearing was organized; then the session was postponed on February 15th. About it the leader of the republican branch of the Communist Party Grigory Senin informed Caucasian unit correspondent.

As he explained, the basis for such postponing was the requirement of representatives of the town administration: they had asked to have at the juridical session the management of the auditor firm which checked up under the court’s inquiry validity of increase of those tariffs. The mayoralty during the hearing the conclusions (made according to the check) had some questions to the audit. The public prosecutor, and then the judge have supported that requirement.

According to Valentine Melnikov, the chairman of the Council of Maykop workers acting in the court as the claimant, in general he was satisfied by the course of the present trial. Hearing lasted about four hours, and the parties had time to state their arguments.

Melnikov had stated again his position: they should analyze not only validity of increase of the tariffs, especially, not expediency of that increase, but about infringement of the federal standard of that increase. That standard was fixed in the decision # 441 of the Government of Russian Federation. But "validity" had revealed 37,7 million rubles - means of average townspeople - the authority abused. That sum was named after the check only a part of the tariffs of housing and communal services whereas in the other part not smaller "reserve" was hidden.

According to the chairman of the Council of workers in spite of that they might look at the trial ending with some optimism, the organization he headed together with the local communists were preparing on February 23rd a meeting of protest. "We shall speak on that day, - noted Melnikov, - about the tariffs for housing and communal services, and about the Housing code as a whole which functioning had been suspended by the State Duma. To suspend is one thing, and to solve the problem is quite another".
