The minister of education and science Адыгеи Ramazan Bedanokov considers that the decision of the Supreme court of the republic about cancellation of the obligatory learning of Adygeyan language at schools will not affect in any way the process of training of the pupils, Caucasus Times correspondent informed.
As the minister noted, the decision of the Supreme court of Adygeya can not be protested by the executive authority, in particular, by the ministry he heads. The appeal could only be submitted by appropriate committee of the State Soviet-Khase of Adygeya, as the Office of public prosecutor had protested the rule of the law adopted by the deputies.
The minister pointed that he had consulted to the lawyers, and, in his opinion, as "the way of learning of Adygeyan language had been carried out within the framework of the regional component for the 1st form, will be quite the same".
Actually, he said, the Office of public prosecutor protested only the phrase "obligatory learning" of Adygeyan language. The protest was also based on that nowhere in the Russian legislation it is stated that learning of Russian should be obligatory. As to the compulsion, the Russian is the state language of Russia.
In the Constitution of Adygeya there are fixed two state languages - Russian and Adygeyan, the minister reminded. Therefore, according to the logic offered by the Office of public prosecutor, in the republican legislation it is invalid to state obligatory learning of the second state language.
As Bedanokov mentioned, the protest of the public prosecutor had already caused in due time rough discussion in the parliament (Caucasus Times note: during that discussion of the protest the minister of education had been a deputy of the State Soviet-Khase). Someone asked why they should overload children with unnecessary knowledge, better let them get useful skills at lessons of labour.
Therefore, the minister notified, he is going to meet on that question the speaker of the republican parliament Ruslan Hadjebiekov to specify the position of leadership of the parliament in relation to the situation.
