“Caucasian forum” of Turkey: Attacks against Adygeyan leaders are Russian provocations 

“Caucasian forum” of Turkey has acted with the official statement in occasion of the events in Circassian republics of Russia. The title of that document is “Russian provocation in Circassia”. NatPress publishes the material (that had been sent in Russian), practically without corrections.

RUSSIAN PROVOCATION IN CIRCASSIA

In Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, after heavy wounding of Circassian activists Ruslan Kesht and Elberd Bor, the next object of the attack became Ibrahim Yagan. The attackers which, terrorizing in organized manner the population, try to prevent its mass political reaction, heavily wounded Ibrahim Yagan.

And then the attacks were committed outside the limits of Kabardino-Balkaria from what the chairman of “Circassian Congress” Murat Berzeg suffered. Molotov’s cocktail (flammable liquid), thrown onto the house of Murat Berzeg, caused a big fire that was hardly extinguished, and Murat Berzeg and his family could have been rescued owing to the help of their neighbours.

That attack committed in Adygeya obviously specifies that the reason there is not a struggle for benefit or collision on the national basis. The actions specify that systematic provocations against leaders of the civil society were initiated.

Russian Federation is concerned with the activities of Circassian organizations calling to association of Circassian people divided in the three different republics. Probably, the behaviour of the puppet organization – the ICA - ignoring the problem - does not suffice, so barbarous methods, with which examples we had been familiar earlier, are used now.

The operation of suppression of the leaders of the civil society, spent by Russia which uses creation of artificial problems with the purpose of preservation of the artificial borders and the identity formed by them, is considered by us as a reply to the demand of Circassians concerning their association.

Not-perception both in Caucasus and in the Diaspora of the so-called Circassian-Balkarian and Circassian-Karachai conflicts was the first answer to the dirty policy of Russia. Having seen that the Law on the land was a new provocation, neither Circassian nor Balkarian people gave in to it.

Not having achieved its purpose, Russia, punishing the leaders of the civil society, wishes to prevent association and to push off to roadside the social movement. That danger could be only eliminated through firm, systematic, public reaction of the wide circles of the society.

Our people in the fatherland who warned of such course of the events at the meetings and public reaction, and whose abilities (which we, certainly, trust) will bring to nothing those provocations, today feel necessity for support of Diaspora in this direction.

Now it is the time of rallying around the leaders of the civil society and to be near to them in their struggle. We call all Caucasian people, first of all Circassian people, to resist this provocation directed against the leaders of Circassian civil public organizations!
