Declaration Of The “Jordanian Association of Caucasus Circassian Friends” 

The “Jordanian Association of Caucasus Circassian Friends” has of the danger of bridging the so-called “Circassia” (Circassian Summer Olympics) that preparations are under way to be held in Nalchik after the conclusion of the Olympic Games due to be held in London in the year 2012, in attempt to serve up the Winter Olympic Games scheduled to be held in Sochi in the year 2014.

Chairman of the Secretariat of the association’s Assembly, Dr. Rouhi Sh’haltough has told a meeting attended by organizers of “Circassiad” Messrs. Sufian Jemuhov and Alexey Bekshokov, accompanied by cameraman Aleem, who came to Jordan to promote this project, said that we are against the establishment of the Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, and we do not and will not welcome any project related whether from near or far with Sochi Olympics, and we categorically reject the Olympic Games to be held in our confiscated land, and over the ancestral skulls who martyred in defense of the homeland and the nation.

Dr. Sh’haltough wondered, speaking with the organizing delegation, why it wasn’t thought of establishing “Circassiad” prior to the endorsement of Sochi Olympics or after the year 2014, and after completion, and whether the meaning of holding the games in 2012 is the bridging and providing a service for the Sochi Games?

The Secretariat of the Council members who attended the meeting have reminded the organizing delegation, of their previous statements about the merits of “Circassiad”, and the most important is that Mr. Sufian himself had said, the course of the Circassian Games cannot be ensured, and he will not be able to control if Russia wanted (obviously being the controlling Power) to steer, or to drive in any direction and for any other goal!!!! They also reminded Mr. Alexey Bekshokov (partner of Sufian Jemuhov), about announcement with confidence that there will be no rejection to Sochi, as long as there is Circassian Olympic Games, (Alexei was then engaged in commenting at the position of the “Jordanian Association of Caucasus Circassians Friends” in regard to rejection of “Circassiad”).

The organizing delegation had explained during the meeting held at the headquarters of the “Jordanian Association of Caucasus Circassians Friends”, which was attended by representatives of the youth, as well, on the draft of “Circassiad”, its merits, goals, and objectives desired.

Thus, that emphasizes that the “Jordanian Association of Caucasus Circassians Friends” stresses that there must be out there better ways than these adventures of uncalculated consequences, if the Circassian national interest is the real ultimate goal.

The Association would call upon each and every Circassian male and female, presence in their respective locations, to follow the events developments concerning Circassia the historic homeland and the Circassian nation to confront the challenges and to preempt the danger.
