Day of Memory and Grief passed in towns and areas of Adygeya

On May, 21st the Day of Memory and Grief was commemorated in Adygeya capital and the areas of the republic. On the same day the opening of the monuments in auls Ponezhukay and Takhtamukay (administrative centres of Teuchezhsky and Takhtamukaysky areas) took place.

In Ponezhukay at the opening about 250-300 people gathered. Among the visitors of the action there was the delegation of republican “Adyghe Khasa” led by its leader Arambiy Hapay.

The meeting was opened, as it used to be, with diuwah. And practically everyone who acted, thanked those young men who (literally during the last days) not only had built the monument, but also supplied it with all the necessary documents, which is to some measures much more important than the monument. These are the members of the area “Adyghe Khasa”. As to the building of the monument it was on (under supervision of the deputy of the local council of “Adyghe Khasa” Aslan Kushu), we may tell, till the moment of the opening.

The main topics of the speeches became the Russian-Caucasian war, memory and knowledge about it, as well as the Olympic Games in Sochi, which opening, carrying out and closing should be in the atmosphere of Adygs.

They also spoke about the name of the monument - "To Defenders of Circassia” - which capaciously and precisely explains to whom the monument was constructed. First of all to the worriers, but not only them – and to those who with their work and existence caused the feats of arms.

In Takhtamukay NatPress arrived at the moment when the action had ended. According to the inhabitants of the area, still remained at the monument, not less than 500 people participated in the mourning ceremony.

There the monument consists of four stones turned to the parts of the world. On one of them the inscription "To Defenders of Circassia” was also engraved.

According to the action’s participants, in it a speech of the ex-ataman of the Kuban Cossack army Vladimir Gromov became remarkable. He completely approved the idea of the monument, was glad to that “Adyghe Khasa” continues its work that the action proved.

In Maykop the public action passed in the hall of the republican philarmonic society. As well as it had been declared in advance, at it there were only two speeches: the prime minister of Adygeya Murat Kumpilov and director of the Adygeya republican institute of humanitarian researches Batyrbiy Bersirov. About the prime-minister’s speech they responded a way that it could be better, about the speech of the second orator - that it was magnificent.

The action was organized in the philarmonic societies because of two different circumstances: the first – it was raining, the second - the place where there should be the monument (it will be named "To Victims of Caucasian War”) is fenced by a building fence (though behind which, any construction is not conducted).

In general in Maykop in the action there was no strict solemnity inherent earlier which, most likely, the monument creates. What is there to speak about, the flags on this day in Adygeya capital, apparently, had not been a little lowered …
