Chairman of Football federation of Adygeya has right to not leave his post

The chairman of the Football federation of Adygeya Rashid Mugu should not leave his post only because his basic workplace is in the republican parliament where he heads the budgetary committee. Official replies to his inquiries which he had received from various instances directly connected with the football federation, testify to that.

“I am officially informing you, he writes to the heads of municipal formations of the towns and areas of Adygeya, chairmen and members of presidium of the football federation of the republic, that I, the chairman of the football federation of Adygeya Republic had sent inquiries to the president of the Russian football union S.A.Fursenko, the minister of sports, tourism and youth policies of Russian Federation of V.L.Mutko and the president of the Union of the football federation of the SFD L-A.X. Ibraghimov for explanation and recommendations concerning the procedure of election into directing bodies of the regional and municipal football federations. I send you these answers of the above-stated departments”.

A while after the October forum “Russia - Sports Power”, organized in Kazan with participation of the president of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the chairman of Adygeya Committee on sports Murat Hasanov addressed to Rashid Mugu and suggested to resign the post of the chairman of the republican football federation. The reason sounded by the head of the republican sports committee, was one of assignments of the president of Russian Federation. The point of that assignment was that “heads of the all-Russian sports federations should be professionals-sportsmen, instead of officials from the federal executive authority”.

And as it appeared, on that basis the Adygeya president Aslan Tkhakushinov, Minister of Finance of Adygeya Dovletby Dolev and a number of other republican officials resigned corresponding public posts. However Rashid Mugu did not consider it necessary to obey that command, such tone in relation to himself he considered as unacceptable. And the main thing, he is sure is that, not being a federal official and not heading the all-Russian sports federation, he has the right to remain on his public post. As the federation he heads, had mastered amount of works unprecedented before. Therefore he wrote those letters.

All three instances he addressed to - the president of the Russian football union S.A.Fursenko, minister of sports, tourism and youth policies of Russian Federation V.L.Mutko and the president of the Union of the football federation of the SFD L-A.X. Ibraghimov stated their support of his position.

However, according to Rashid Mugu, the activity of the republican sports committee on convocation of extraordinary report-back election conference of the football federation of Adygeya still proceeds.
