Adygeya will celebrate Circassian national costume holiday

Among the celebrations that mark the Circassians, there appeared another one - the Day of the national costume. The initiator of the festival is a social movement of Adygeya "Adyghe Hase." Circassian national costume has a long history, it is known throughout the world, and many nations have adopted elements of the Circassian costume and brought them in their traditional costumes. In the organization and conduct of the holiday involved employees of the branch of Eastern people of Adygeya museum as well as scientists, artists and actors.

The main objective of celebrating the Day of the national costume organizers considered as the promotion of Circassian (Adyghe) culture, preservation and enhancement of cultural traditions. It is planned that the holding of this festival will become an annual event. Everyone who will take part in celebrating the Day of the national costume, organizers and participants are invited on September 28 in the building of the North Caucasus branch of the State Museum of Oriental Art (Pervomayskaya, 221).
