In Istanbul the memory evenings of Adygeyan poet, playwright, prose writer, the honored worker of arts of Adygeya Republic Nalbiy Kuek passed. Representatives of the Adygeyan Diaspora of Turkey and delegation from Adygeya in the structure of scientists, writers and journalists took part in them.
The initiative to erect in Afipsip village of Tahtamukaysky area of Adygeya a monument devoted to the hero of the Caucasian War, the leader of Circassians Tuguzhuko Kazbich was suggested by a group of 12 people. That idea was supported by the public and the government of Adygeya.
The competition for children's creative collectives named "World Games of Performing Arts" took place in Sochi. In the competition over 30 young performers aged 10 to 15 years participated. The first place in "Folk Dance" category was after the municipal ensemble of Adygeyan dance "Dawns of Maykop." They brought back from Sochi the diploma and the cup of the winners of the festival, proving once again that the constant rehearsals, harmonious creative team and a great desire to work can achieve a great success.
Under the Decree of the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin # 1945-r of November 3, 2011 Kulov Amerbiy Tsuovich, artistic director of the municipal budget institution of culture "Children's choreographic ensemble "Maykopchanochka", Maykop, Adygeya Republic is awarded by the Government of Russian Federation with award “Soul of Russia” for his contribution to the development of the folk arts. Earlier Amerby Kulov had been the artistic director of the ensemble "Nalmes".
The film "Circassian Women Do not Die" produced by the Kabardino-Balkarian branch of the State Broadcasting Company "News-Kabardino-Balkaria" about the amazing destiny of Elmeskhan Hagundokova who became a commander and a honourable brigade general of France, is presented today in Nalchik.
Ministry of Culture of Adygeya Republic produced a CD "Letseryko Kim. Adyghe mekameher. Tletseruk Kim Plays." The CD contains 32 popular instrumental Circassian tunes performed by the legendary Circassian accordion player Kim Tletseruk.
In Maykop the premiere of the first in Adygeya history of the national opera “Peals of the Far Thunder” took place. The production took place on the stage of the State philarmonic society of the republic.
In the competition for the design of a monument devoted to the memory of victims of the genocide of the Circassian people announced by the Government of Georgia, the 53-year-old sculptor from the Lower Kurkuzhin Husen Kochesokov won.
Creative teams of the Southern and the Northern Caucasian federal districts participated in the festival for the twelfth time in Adygeya, and guests from Abkhazia – for the first time.
