The dance school of Anzor Shorov announced invitation of pupils and competitive selection into ensemble of Adygeyan dance created at the school.
New groups starts working since March, 1-st.

In Istanbul the memory evenings of Adygeyan poet, playwright, prose writer, the honored worker of arts of Adygeya Republic Nalbiy Kuek passed. Representatives of the Adygeyan Diaspora of Turkey and delegation from Adygeya in the structure of scientists, writers and journalists took part in them.
The meetings had been organized before the writer’s birthday under the initiative of two Adygs-repatriates well known N.Kuek. Both of them are admirers of his talent.

The known armorer Asya Eutykh working in Adygeya Republic recently met with pupils of the republican college of arts. For conversation the artist had chosen the reading room of the National library. According to A.Eutykh, the atmosphere of the world of books adjusts perception of the high spheres.
At the meeting the master told about uneasy but honourable path of artist, about the thorny road of the creative person. Asya Eutykh is sure - self-sacrifice is important in arts, as the glory comes further, and it is not the main thing. The artist answered all the questions of the students and promised to make such meetings traditional.
Asya Eutykh is a jeweller, armorer, a member of the Union of artists of Russia, the national artist of Adygeya Republic. Asya Eutykh's products are stored in the funds of the State Hermitage and in the State historical museum of Moscow. Her works are executed in technics of moulding, engraving and gilding. The basic materials of her works include bronze, silver, gold and jewels. In 2008 she was awarded with the premium “Amra”, in 1998 - created weapons and ammunition for the personal Circassian guards (15 complete sets) of the Jordanian Prince Ali.

On February 18th, the exhibition of Circassian genocide will be presented in Istanbul, Turkey.
It was arranged with the support of members of the commission of the competition to build a monument to the victims of genocide, the publishing house "Caucasia Evie" and Circassian activists.

The initiative to erect in Afipsip village of Tahtamukaysky area of Adygeya a monument devoted to the hero of the Caucasian War, the leader of Circassians Tuguzhuko Kazbich was suggested by a group of 12 people. That idea was supported by the public and the government of Adygeya.

The competition for children's creative collectives named "World Games of Performing Arts" took place in Sochi. In the competition over 30 young performers aged 10 to 15 years participated. The first place in "Folk Dance" category was after the municipal ensemble of Adygeyan dance "Dawns of Maykop." They brought back from Sochi the diploma and the cup of the winners of the festival, proving once again that the constant rehearsals, harmonious creative team and a great desire to work can achieve a great success.
Last year the collective had celebrated its 20th anniversary, to which they dedicated a great concert.

One of the highlights of the scientific life of Adygeya for the last months of the past year was publication of the book "Sultan Khan-Girey. Selected Papers and Documents."
The book was published by the Adygeya Republican Institute of Humanitarian Studies (ARIHR). For several years the creative collective of Marat Gubzhokov, Asker Panesh, Azamat Buzarov and Sufyan Zhemuhov had worked on that compilation.
The presentation of the new book became a worthy of the crown of that epic, taking place in the reading room of the Research Library of the Adygeya State University (ASU).
In the spacious hall all those who can be called without exaggeration the intellectual elite of Adygeya - ARIHR researchers, teachers of the Maykop State Technologic University, writers, workers of the museums and libraries, staff of the profile ministry (headed by the Minister of Culture Gaziy Chemso), historians, journalists, students - all those for whom the name of Khan-Girey inextricably linked to the cultural history of Circassians.

Under the Decree of the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin # 1945-r of November 3, 2011 Kulov Amerbiy Tsuovich, artistic director of the municipal budget institution of culture "Children's choreographic ensemble "Maykopchanochka", Maykop, Adygeya Republic is awarded by the Government of Russian Federation with award “Soul of Russia” for his contribution to the development of the folk arts. Earlier Amerby Kulov had been the artistic director of the ensemble "Nalmes".

The film "Circassian Women Do not Die" produced by the Kabardino-Balkarian branch of the State Broadcasting Company "News-Kabardino-Balkaria" about the amazing destiny of Elmeskhan Hagundokova who became a commander and a honourable brigade general of France, is presented today in Nalchik.
The author of the film, the editor of the company Zhansurat Zekorej did not aspire to be strictly documentary. “It was important to her to demonstrate the emotional world of the heroic fellow tribeswoman so the youth could be proud and imitate her”, director of the Kabardino-Balkarian branch of the SBC Lyudmila Kazancheva said. The film was shot in St.-Petersburg and Paris in the high quality format for demonstration on the big screen at cinemas of the region.

Ministry of Culture of Adygeya Republic produced a CD "Letseryko Kim. Adyghe mekameher. Tletseruk Kim Plays." The CD contains 32 popular instrumental Circassian tunes performed by the legendary Circassian accordion player Kim Tletseruk.
Mastering of the disk was carried out by Ruslan Barcho: annotation - by musicologist Bela Sheudzhen; design – by "Dyshechev Production", and replicating was made by "Records Man" Ltd. in Moscow.

In Maykop the premiere of the first in Adygeya history of the national opera “Peals of the Far Thunder” took place. The production took place on the stage of the State philarmonic society of the republic.
Before the beginning of the premier the rewarding ceremony for representatives of the creative collectives participated in creation of the opera during which they were thanked for contribution to the art, and the best ones were awarded with the state awards of Adygeya Republic. Rehearsals of the opera proceeded within a year. Ensembles “Islamey”, “Nalmes”, soloists of the republican chamber musical theatre, representatives of the arts college, the State philarmonic society of Adygeya, as well as the invited soloists from St.-Petersburg and Kabardino-Balkaria took part in the project’s implementation.

In the competition for the design of a monument devoted to the memory of victims of the genocide of the Circassian people announced by the Government of Georgia, the 53-year-old sculptor from the Lower Kurkuzhin Husen Kochesokov won.

Creative teams of the Southern and the Northern Caucasian federal districts participated in the festival for the twelfth time in Adygeya, and guests from Abkhazia – for the first time.
In their national costumes in a form of theatrical performances the participants of the festival represented the traditions and customs of their nations. It should be mentioned that the most part of the collectives were composed of lay people. The participants were persons of various activities, starting from teachers and finishing with housewives.

Today on December, 10th, 2011 presentation of Aslan Tsipinov’s film "Traditional Adygeyan wedding" takes place in the Central House of Tourist.

In 1981-1983 archeologist Alexander Leskov heading an expedition of the Museum of Eastern peoples’ arts with a group of researchers found Scythian-Meotian artifacts that glorified archeologic Adygeya. Archeologist Aslan Tov was also in that expedition and today remembers the events, given the historians materials to analyze for decades. The largest and surprising of the finds - a figure of a little boar that used to fasten to a tree with gold nails, as well as gold Aid with silver horns - amazed the scientists. Till that finds’ discovering scientists had considered that representatives of Scythian-Meotian culture did not make any sculptures.
A year later in another barrow scientists found a mass of artifacts, among which there were beads, utensils, ceremonial subjects and a rhyton - a vessel for drink in a form of an animal’s horn.

In Imereti lowland archeologists found the most ancient Christian temple in the territory of the country, “NTK” TV informed. Excavation had been on already a half a year at that place. From its three sides the temple was surrounded with protective porches which later were used as tombs. In one of them the archeologists found remains of a married couple. Valuable details - a bronze fastener for the Bible, a cross that had crowned the dome of the temple, fragments of little icon-lamps - were also found. Scientists were surprised with abundance of multi-coloured glass similar to the West-European stained-glass windows. Besides the relic building as the experts assure, was constructed in view of the climatic conditions of Sochi.
The senior scientific employee of the archeology institute of the Russian Academy of Science Ekaterina Armarchuk informed that presumably the territory of southern Sochi was a part of the Abkhazian empire ruled by Leonid's dynasty approximately since the VIII till X centuries. The temple was dated about the IX-X centuries A.D.
