The international campaign “Stop smoking and win – 2004” had started at the end of March more than in 100 countries all over the world. It had been 10 years during which many regions of Russia took part in it. This year Adygeya had joined them for the first time. In the Center of medical preventive maintenance of Adygeya a press conference for the journalists dedicated to the beginning of this action in Adygeya was held on March, 31. 

As one of coordinators of the action in Adygeya Galina Geltman had emphasized, the basic purpose of this campaign is to give additional material stimulus to those who had already decided to get rid of tobacco dependence. Having refused from smoking even for 1 month (from May, 2 till May, 29), participants can win the international super prize - 10 thousand dollars, - and also get plenty of European and Russian prizes. 

Winners should confirm their refusal of smoking by the biochemical analysis of the blood. For the current time only 20 inhabitants of Adygeya had decided to participate in this campaign. But till May, 2 - namely up to this term in the Center of medical preventive maintenance of Adygeya applications from participants of the action are accepted - this figure, probably, will considerably increase.
