“The Days of ecological protection” - the action with that name starts in Adygeya today. It will last till June, 5. The first action of the kind organized at the all-Russian level and become traditional in Adygeya was held in 1993. At 11th time a competition of journalists of Adygeya under motto “Ecology, security, life” takes place as well.

According to the words of workers of Department of natural resources and environment protection of the ministry of natural resources of Russian Federation in Adygeya gathered at the sitting dedicated to that measure (taken place two days before its start) for these years in Adygeya a great work was done on improvement ecological and sanitary-epidemiological situation in Adygeya. However there are still problems.

“Adygeya guests as a rule are pleasantly surprised with cleanness and greenness of Maykop and republic, - said the head of the department Georgy Kozmenko at the sitting, - but we, professionals, know how many problems of ecological sphere we have”.

The special attention was decided to pay this year to clearing springs and small rivers. But that doesn’t mean that cleaning edifices, rubbishing banks of the rivers, dust-heaps (in the first turn non-sanctioned), towns and settlements improvement and tree-planting would be left without any attention.
