Recognition of the Circassian genocide came into its final phase

Today, April 27, 2011 Andro Gabisoniya, the representative of the network organization "Circassian Congress" of Adygeya, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia in Georgia, met with Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Relations with compatriots abroad, the representative of the parliamentary friendship group with the republics of Northern Caucasus Nugzar Tsiklauri.

At that meeting, he gave additional documents related to the genocide of Circassians and informed the chairman of the Committee that almost all associated Diaspora Circassians, scattered around the world request the recognition of genocide of Circassians,. Georgia should be able to orientate requirements of today and become a leader in the region, which in turn can become a hub for all Caucasians. And also the fact that Georgia is supporting the Circassians in this difficult time getting the support and friendship of the Circassians in the Caucasus and generally in the region.

Apparently, said Andre Gabisoniya, the procedure of recognition of genocide entered its final stage and will be recognized by Georgia in the near future.
