Arsen Kanokov: Circassians from Syria need simplified procedure of returning to historical native land

Circassians living in need to simplify the official procedure of their returning to the historical native land in connection with aggravation of the situation in the country, sk-news.ru informed the opinion of the head of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov.
“The decision is made that the parliament of the republic will address to the president of Russia with a request to give the natives from the territory of present Kabardino-Balkaria the right to return freely to Russian Federation”, he told at the meeting with journalists of the republic.
Kanokov also noted that the Adygeya parliament had already adopted such reference.
“Many persons work against the repatriation of our brothers by birth. They had thought up a cliche about ‘Great Circassia’ whereas in huge Russia there are only 140 million population, soon there will be nobody to work, and we invite migrants even from Vietnam and China. We should not be afraid of returning to the country the pro-Russia adjusted, hard-working, kept the native language and customs our fellow tribesmen”, Kanokov emphasized.
As a result of the Caucasian war of the XVIII-XIX centuries about a half from the 6 million population of the Western and Northern Caucasus including Kabardians, Circassians, Adighes, Shapsugs, Ubyhs and other related people, left Caucasus. Now on the native land about 800 thousand Adygs live, and abroad, according to different data, from 3 up to 5 million people.
