Rescue operation in Ullu-Auzna mountain area in Bezengiy gorge of Prielbrusiye (Kabardino-Balkaria) is on, a representative of the press-service of the Southern regional center of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia informed on Sunday.
"About 17:20 p.m. on Saturday a duty employee of Nalchik search and rescue group was reported that in Bezengiy gorge, on Ullu-Auzna mountain during an ascention two climbers (citizens of Moscow, 1973 and 1974 ages) had fallen in a breakage at height 4 680 meters. They had been followed by an observer who watched their ascention from below; it was him who made a signal", - told a representative of the press-service.
According to a source, both climbers were traumatized during their falling and got bruises of various degrees.
At 3:00 a.m. on Sunday at the place of the climbers’ falling the group of rescuers arrived. By the morning they delivered to the rescue base Bezenga of Kabardino-Balkaria one of the suffered climbers. He was rendered necessary medical aid. Now the rescuers had gone back for help and delivery to the base the other climber who is being in the crevice.
