The Abkhazian Diaspora in Turkey wants to be better informed about the internal and the foreign policies of their Native land, - the deputy of the National Assembly - parliament of the republic Sener Gogua said, having come back on one of these days from Istanbul.
Within 20 days on behalf of the president Sergey Bagapsh repatriates Sener Gogua and Oktay Chkotua visited Turkey, its cities, where Abkhazes compactly live.
Meeting with representatives of the Abkhazian Diaspora in Ankara, Adapazar, Istanbul Gogua and Chkotua had emphasized that "purposely distributed disinformation about changing of the policies of the republic has no ground". "Leadership of Abkhazia continues its course on independence and gradual achieving the international recognition". At the same time, the question of the Russian-Abkhazian relations, Russia’s going out from the sanctions mode (started against Abkhazia in January, 1996 by the CIS states leaders council) was actively discussed at the meetings. "We had told about that the State Duma of Russia adopted a reference, in which it asked the president and the government of Russia to consider the problem of the expediency of recognition of Abkhazia and Southern Ossetia’s independence ", - Sener Gogua said.
The Abkhazian parliamentarians met the chiefs of the commercial and the industrial chambers of Adapazar and Istanbul and invited them to visit Abkhazia. As Sener Gogua specified, in Abkhazia the economic forum would be held, in which up to 80 Turkish businessmen, which basic part would be representatives of Caucasian Diaspora, would take part.
The deputy also informed that in June Sukhum would be visited by the ambassador of Turkey of Georgia and a high-ranked official of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Turkish Republic. The Turkish diplomats are going to discuss with the leadership of Abkhazia the questions of preparation of such visit and renewal of the sea transport communications between Turkey and Abkhazia.
