Amman, June 27 (Petra) - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday said he was proud over the contributions of Circassians to the development march in Jordan.
At a meeting with Circassian notables and representatives of women sector, the King said the coming period is important, adding that "I want it to be a period of productivity and implementation." He called all segments of the society to be part of the modernizing process.
King Abdullah vowed to move ahead with the comprehensive reform process, including political, social and economic domains to serve the homeland's present and future.
"We have big challenges and big potentials and I am optimistic about the future as long as we work in one-team spirit," the King told the notables.
His Majesty stressed the importance of the new elections law to guarantee participation of all segments of the Jordanian society, calling for effective political parties with clear working programs.
The meeting is part of a series of meeting with community leaders to exchange views about the homeland and citizens' issues.
The King then listened to a number of demands by Circassians, and directed the government to meet those demands.
The Circassian notables hailed the Hashemite leadership, stressing keenness to continue their contribution to Jordan's development mach.
Head of the Circassian Tribal Council Adnan Kalimat delivered a speech in which he hailed King Abdullah reform efforts.
The meeting was attended by Royal Court Chief Khaled Karaki, King's Advisor for Tribal Affairs Sharif Fawaz Zaben Abdullah, King's Advisor for Media Affairs Amjad Adayleh and advisors at Royal Court Yousef Essawi and Amer Hadidi.
