Mufti of Adygeya and Krasnodar territory supports appeal  of head of Moslems of the Asian part of Russia 

The leader of the Spiritual management of Moslems of Adygeya and Krasnodar territory Nurby Emizh in his interview to IА REGNUM correspondent had supported as a whole the appeal of the chairman of the Spiritual management of Moslems of the Asian part of Russia (SMMAPR) Nafigulla Ashirov. "I am personally familiar with Ashirov, - told Emizh, - and talked to him on this theme". According to the leader of Moslems of Kuban, he agreed with the opinion of his colleague regarding that it is impossible in the multi-confessional and - under the constitution - the secular state to allow excessive use of symbolics of one of religious faiths. Including the state symbolics. It causes protest of representatives of other faiths. Religions should not compete, but cooperate and help each other.

"It would be wrong, for example, - told the mufti of Adygeya and Krasnodar territory, - for Moslems to erect pedestals with half moons. Such actions would cause fair protests not only among Christians but also of any sane people. We mustn’t be surprised as the public of Adygeya had already stated its negative estimation to that the crosses in the form of monuments were put on entrances to Maykop, on the roads of Adygeya and Krasnodar territory, at the most significant tops of the Western Caucasian mountains. These actions, by the way, were organized not by the orthodox dioceses, but by Cossacks: still they caused intensity as among the believers, and other parts of society".

Note: in the beginning of July the republican social movements "Adyghe Khase" and "Circassian congress" declared their intention to prevent in Maykop construction of a monument to Saint Nikolay `Crosser, and to one of the reasons of that became that the figure of the sacred man had a form of cross. Then the works were picketed. Now the construction has been suspended as on the initial place - in the city centre, and on the new one - on a suburb.
